About this opportunity

Talent is everywhere; opportunity is not. The Young Creators Arts Fund backs artists aged 18 to 30 working in film, music, photography, painting, dance, theatre, fashion, and digital media. Grants cover the project costs young artists usually pay out of pocket: materials, studio rental, equipment hire, festival submission fees, mastering, printing, and venue deposits. But the fund is more than a check — recipients premiere or exhibit in the annual New Voices showcase, receive portfolio reviews from working professionals, and join an alumni network that shares gigs, grants, and collaborations. Several past recipients have gone on to screen at regional festivals, release debut EPs, and open paid commissions. If you have the work and the drive, this fund removes the money obstacle.

Eligibility requirements — read before applying

Aged 18 to 30 at the time of applying
U.S.-based artist working in an eligible creative discipline
A portfolio of at least 3 finished pieces or performances
One specific project proposal with a timeline under 12 months
Students and self-taught artists equally welcome
Collectives may apply with one named lead artist

How to apply

1. Create your Grant Well account and open the Young Creators application.
2. Link or upload your portfolio (3–5 strongest pieces, not everything you have made).
3. Describe your proposed project in 500 words: concept, timeline, and budget.
4. Upload an itemized budget showing exactly how grant funds will be spent.
5. Shortlisted artists discuss their work in a 20-minute video call with two panelists.
6. Winners receive 80% upfront and 20% on project completion plus a showcase slot.
