About this opportunity

A leaking roof is the single most common reason a working family loses a home. The Safe Roofs grant pays for full or partial re-roofing, plus the flashing and gutter work that stops the leak returning. Approved work is done by vetted local contractors, and the grant is paid directly to them.

Eligibility requirements — read before applying

Homeowner-occupied primary residence in a participating county
Household income under 150% of the area median income
Roof at least 8 years old, or documented storm damage
Home in good repair apart from the roof

How to apply

1. Create your account and start a Home Repair application.
2. Upload two roofing quotes dated within the last 60 days.
3. Add photos of the damage and a short description.
4. Submit — an inspector may contact you to arrange a roof check.
