Open Doors Emergency Relief

Funded by Rapid Response Charities · Emergency and Hardship Support · $500 – $5,000

About this opportunity

A broken-down car, an ER bill, a sudden eviction notice — small emergencies push working families off a cliff they spent years climbing. Open Doors Emergency Relief moves at the speed of crisis: decisions within 72 hours, money paid directly to the landlord, utility, mechanic, pharmacy, or clinic so there is no waiting for checks to clear. Grants cover rent arrears, utility shutoff prevention, emergency medical and dental costs, car repairs needed for work, funeral costs, and disaster displacement. There is no essay, no interview, and no shame in the process — a short form, one proof of the emergency, and a caseworker who calls you back. Dignity is the whole point: a bridge over one bad month, protecting the job, the home, and the stability a family has built.
