Main Street Small Business Boost
Funded by Cornerstone Enterprise Fund · Business and Entrepreneurship · $5,000 – $25,000
About this opportunity
Empty storefronts hurt the whole block. The Main Street Small Business Boost gives early-stage and pre-launch businesses the seed capital banks rarely provide: up to $25,000 for equipment, initial inventory, storefront improvements, signage, point-of-sale systems, and first-quarter operating costs. Money is only half the award — every recipient gets six months of free bookkeeping software, a quarterly review with a volunteer business advisor, and introductions to local supplier and wholesale networks. The fund especially welcomes food businesses, repair shops, childcare centers, and retail that bring foot traffic back to neighborhood commercial streets. Roughly one in three past recipients has gone on to hire its first employee within a year of receiving the award.
